The department's research and development aims at shaping vocational education and training (VET) processes.
Foundations of our studies are findings from VET research which identify competencies in work processes as well as pedagogical content knowledge in order to identify potentials for education and training in work and technology. Other important impacts on our work are insights in user-friendly utilisation and development of digital media.
Research and development topics are electrical engineering, information technology and building services engineering. We especially focus on sustainable energy systems and energy efficiency.
