| Beijing - International Conference on Work Process Based Curriculum Design and Teacher Training for TVET - Announcement |
Background
Beijing Union University is one of the partners in the EU-Asia Link funded project Design of a Curriculum on Curriculum Development (DCCD). The project deals with the development of work process based curriculum design methodologies for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and their implementation in the academic education of TVET professionals, namely of teachers and trainers for technical and vocational education and training.
The project started in October 2004 and the funding period will end in September 2007. This conference is meant to discuss the results achieved so far with a wider public. The aim of this one day conference is to gather TVET researchers, planners, policymakers, educators and practitioners from East and West to share and discuss the latest developments in TVET curriculum design and professional development from an international perspective, especially with view to the academic education of TVET teachers. We are also hoping that a better understanding of TVET practices of other countries can be learned and shared. Thus, these Asian and other experiences may lead to global sustainable cooperation on TVET. | |
