Facilitator Objective

In a knowledge-based society, our prospects depend more than ever on learning. Learning constitutes a crucial resource for all areas of communal life, the economic and the individual advancement. In times of rapid social, economic and technical changes, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) faces many challenges in the global competition about knowledge and markets. In order that TVET can fulfil ts function as a supporting pillar of the innovation- and competence-development-process in the regional job market and economic development, innovative concepts and instruments of vocational education planning and -practise are needed. The ITB advanced training programme "Vocational Training and Innovation" transfers the last decades' results of research and development from the vocational training research sector into tools for organisation, planning, creating, evaluation and quality control of technical and vocational education and training processes.
