Developing a research frame concept “Industrial Culture”; conducting international comparative research projects utilizing the industrial culture concept on various subjects, e.g.: • Technology development and application: Design, transfer and use of CNC machine tools in Germany, the U.S. and Japan; • Innovation policy: SME in Japan; Technology transfer centres for SME in Japan and the U.S.; Mobility – public transport policy and practice in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area • Innovation networks & public-private partnerships: University Industry Partnerships in Germany, Japan, Korea and the U.S (ongoing project); The importance of intangible resources in innovation networks • Globalization: Corporate Social Responsibility in China: Comparing the labour policies of Korean and German MNE in China • International comparative VET research: The Contribution of VET to Achieving the Lisbon Goals; Implementing Mentoring Concepts in Attika, Greece; VET policies in the EU competitor countries
