Arbeitsgemeinschaft Berufsbildungsforschungsnetz (AG BFN)

The AG BFN (Working Group on Vocational Education and Training Research Network) is a voluntary association of institutions that contribute to VET research from different scientific disciplines. It forms a platform for interdisciplinary exchange as well as for the exchange between science, politics and educational practice.

Working together in the AG BFN are:

• the Section for Vocational and Business Education (BWP) of the German Society for Educational Sciences,
• the Institute for Employment Research of the Federal Employment Service (IAB),
• the educational institutes for vocational education and training of the Länder,
• research institutes in private and public sponsorship and
• the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB).

• improve scientific cooperation,
• support the exchange of research results, opinions and experiences,
• identify relevant fields of research and
• promote the next generation of scientists.
