“Schnittstellen gestalten” refers to the interlocking between different scientific disciplines, between theory and practice, and between different actors in teacher education. About 45 researchers from the University of Bremen had developed concepts for teachers in five sub-projects, funded by the federal and state governments. The team has published the concept and results of the project on its own website and in a publication.

The “Institut für Public Health und Pflegeforschung“ (IPP, Institute of Public Health and Nursing Research), the “Institut Technik und Bildung” (ITB, Institute Technology and Education), and the didactics of the subjects English and physics are involved in SteBs. SteBs creates links between the different phases and subjects of vocational teacher education. Different concepts and offers for studies, teacher training (Referendariat) and further education have been developed. These include learning modules for dealing with diversity in vocational schools, further training for teachers, and concepts, tasks and materials for teaching at vocational schools. All results of SteBs are also available after the end of the project, see link in the blue box.
