In numerous presentations and workshops, the perspective of contemporary vocational orientation as a lifelong process was taken up, in which a constant exchange and comparison between the individual on the one hand and the world of work on the other is carried out. In this respect, the orientation process is not a one-off process that ends after entering a post-school phase of life. Vocational orientation considers different target groups, institutions, actors and objectives and is therefore characterised and designed as an interdisciplinary discourse. The aim of the conference was to visualise the interdisciplinary nature of vocational orientation and at the same time to build on current conceptual, theoretical and empirical findings.
The conference was planned and organised at the ITB by Dr Christian Staden in collaboration with colleagues from other universities. These included Prof Dr Katja Driesel-Lange and Jerusha Klein from the WWU Münster, Marie Tuchscherer from the PH Karlsruhe, Dr Tina Fletemeyer, Dr Rebecca Lembke and Anna Lena Müller from the University of Oldenburg.
Further information on the conference can be found either on the homepage of the Scientific Network for Vocational Orientation or directly on the conference homepage (see links in the blue box).
