Kick-Off Meeting DEVISE4KE in Kenya

On the 8th of January, a team from Rongo University and the University of Bremen (left to right: Wycliffe Ogaga, Steve Oloo, Prof. Jonathan Mulwa, Vivian Harberts, Peter Kaune) visited the three participating secondary schools to do a site inspection in Homa Bay, Kenya. The aim of the site visits was to determine the requirements for the upcoming installation of photovoltaic and IT equipment. Many schools lack electrical installations, power supply and the necessary teacher skills and training to deal with the challenges of the newly-implemented competence-based curriculum (CBC) in Kenya.
