Writing workshop week on Harriersand went into the second round!

From November 20 to 24, the ITB research associates made their way to Harriersand to advance their doctoral thesis in an idyllic setting.

Christoph Leupold focused on the state of the art in the design of multi-material components for 3D printing processes. Nils Weinowski used the time to evaluate the research data he collected for his dissertation over the past year while monitoring vocational school lessons and team meetings with teachers. Lisa Meyne dealt with the social capital of VET stakeholders in international project networks using a case study as part of her social network analysis. Daniel Weerts focused on experiments on adaptive image processing for industrial image processing. Valerie Ambrosi analyzed quantitative data collected measuring female group attachment, self-esteem and explicit belief in gender stereotypes to make statements about the impact of gender stereotype threat on the brains of young students and their performance in a spatial-visual task. Christine Siemer used the time to prepare her disputation lecture on her doctoral thesis with the title 'Internationalisation and Digitisation in Vocational Education and Training: Needs and examples of implementation'.

In addition to academic work, the writing week was also used for team-building activities. Joint walks and cooking sessions helped to get to know each other better and ice bathing in the mornings gave us a clear head to work on the doctoral thesis.
