The aim of the event was, on one hand, to conclude the F.IT project. However, it also aimed to gather momentum for the continuation of the topic and positively transition into the daily activities of the attendees.
Approximately 100 guests accepted the invitation. Companies, stakeholders from education and counseling, public authorities, as well as women interested in IT were represented. Amidst a great atmosphere, problems were discussed, solutions were developed, and most importantly, ideas were forged. In particular, the final challenge was intense: in two teams, representing companies and women interested in IT, participants developed solutions for acute challenges regarding women's entry into the digital industry. This sequence was documented by a sketch note protocol, which was made available to the participants afterwards.
Just in time for the closing event, the brochure "Quereinsteigen bitte!" („Please Join In“) was released in German language, which could be handed over to the participants in printed form. This brochure is particularly aimed at IT companies and provides suggestions and examples of how women can be facilitated in transitioning into the industry through lateral entry.
