On 17 November, the Federal Institute of Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) from Germany hosted the next digital AI-Forum, an online series that reports on AI in vocational education and training focussing on different topics of AI use. This time, the Erasmus+ project AI Pioneers was invited to participate and present project results and the ongoing activities on network building across Europe.
The AI Pioneers project has been represented by Lisa Meyne and Frieda Klaus from the Institute Technology and Education (ITB) of the University of Bremen focussing on:
- The AI Pioneers results: The AI supplement to the Digital Competences Framework for Educators (DigCompEdu), the ethics evaluation schema to guide organisational processes in education and the AI Pioneers toolkit,
- as well as reports on the establishment of the international network of AI Pioneers with a specific reference to international VET cooperation,
- and practical application examples on the use of AI in VET and adult education.
The event was moderated by Oliver Nahm from BIBB, who not only confidently guided the event, but is also involved in the AI Pioneers project himself. The discussion focused on the current status of AI use in Germany especially regarding opportunities and risks in vocational education and training.
Presentation and video recording of the event are available on the BIBB website (via the link in the blue box).
