GEKKO is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Seniors, Women, and Youth (BMBFSFJ) as part of the guideline for promoting projects to increase and strengthen job-related continuing education through the qualification and establishment of continuing education mentors. The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) acts as the approving authority and supports the funded projects.
The GEKKO project therefore aims to train continuing education mentors (WBM) in the context of small and medium-sized logistics companies (SMEs) and establish them at the operational level. Based on the training, the skills acquired by the WBMs are to be deepened and consolidated in the real working environment through the development of a scalable consulting and learning platform. The project also aims to promote the implementation of WBMs within the logistics industry by establishing and expanding an industry- and topic-specific network.
The goals, content, and next steps of the joint project were discussed during the online kick-off event. The kick-off marked the beginning of a collaboration that aims to strengthen continuing vocational training in small and medium-sized logistics companies (SMEs) in the long term.
The meeting was a successful start to the project, and we look forward to working together.
