On June 24 and 25, 2026, the 5th (of 7) project meeting of “Innovative Skills for an Old Vocation” (ISOV) took place in Pirmasens.
The main task – namely, the development of manuals to integrate the potential impacts of globalization, sustainability, and digitalization on work processes in the industrial footwear manufacturing sector into vocational training and continuing education – is largely complete!
After the summer break, testing and evaluation of the developed materials will begin; in addition, materials will be gradually uploaded to the project website.
Upcoming activities:
- August 17–20, 2026: Presentation of the project at ECER in Tampere.
- September 21–23, 2026: Presentation at “Sustainability in VET” in Cologne
