Expert forum "Business Model Development" for projects of the BMBF funding initiative "Internationalisation of Vocational Education and Training (IBB)" in Bonn

The team accompanying the BMBF funding guideline for the internationalisation of VET (WB-IBB) held the first expert forum of the funding initiative together with the DLR project management organisation on 28 and 29 May 2018. The topic of the two-day meeting at the BMBF in Bonn was business model development based on the Canvas business model.
Presentation by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Gessler
The event aimed at all projects currently being funded under the IBB funding guidelines. The BMBF itself and the iMOVE (International Marketing of Vocational Education) initiative were also involved in the forum.

In four group work phases, the participants filled the building blocks of the business model Canvas with content - with reference to their current projects - and used the opportunity to exchange experiences. The scientific support with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Gessler, Dr. Susanne Peters and Larissa Freund from ITB prepared the work phases with short presentations on the individual Canvas components. The programme was enriched by presentations of the "SEPT - small enterprise promotion and training" of the University of Leipzig (itself a project partner for two funded projects in Vietnam and Iran) on internationalisation tools for German training providers and business model marketing.

The specialist forums, which take place twice a year as part of the IBB funding guidelines, serve to support the project alliances with additional, technically relevant offers, but are also intended to make the projects visible and to provide a platform for discussion and mutual learning. The next specialist forum will take place on 9 and 10 October 2018 at the University of Bremen.
