The symposium, which was focused on digitalization, inclusion, heterogeneity, pedagogical qualification as well as practical contacts and cooperation, aimed not only at presenting the scientific project results, but also at promoting an exchange between science and practice.
This was implemented by a mix of practical workshops and scientific lectures, as well as provision of rooms for free exchange. The consistently high number of participants from science, (school) practice and politics from all over Germany underlined particular relevance of the project and symposium topic. Active participation in lively discussions and interest in research results obtained in the project as well as the measures developed to support schools in their task of vocational orientation, contributed significantly to the success of the event.
The IÖB Oldenburg, the ITB Bremen and the entire "BOGyO" project consortium can look back on an exciting symposium, which was able to provide important impulses for further work on topics related to vocational orientation at upper secondary schools.
