In lively discussions on the challenges and design possibilities of training courses in the baking trade, the individual promotion of trainees and practical relevance proved to be a particular challenge. Under the device “more professional practice in education", the participants discussed how digital media, images and videos can help to make learning in training more practical and what potential digital learning tools offer for the development of trainees' skills. There was consensus that the trainees can be better reached in their heterogeneity through action-oriented tasks and examples from practice than through established tools such as worksheets.
The discussion was deepened by the concept of learning and work tasks and the demonstration of the tool Task Manager of the Kompetenzwerkstatt. (You can access the online portal of the Kompetenzwerkstatt via the link in the blue box). The use of the task manager as a tool for providing learning and work tasks in the context of training met with lively interest in the baking trade.
The workshop will be continued in digital form on 16. November 2022.
