AI Pioneers workshop series enters second round!

On 6 November 2024, the Institute Technology and Education (ITB), as a project partner of the Erasmus+-funded AI Pioneers project represented by Dr Ludger Deitmer, Frieda Klaus, Lisa Meyne and Dr Christine Siemer, held a workshop to develop a practice-oriented concept for the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in vocational education and training together with experts in the field of artificial intelligence.
AI Pioneers workshop at the ITB

Dr Ludger Deitmer and Dr Christine Siemer began by presenting the objectives and activities of the AI Pioneers project. Florian Beier from BBS Neustadt (Hanover) then gave a keynote speech providing insights into computer vision using AI tools in the context of process-controlled industrial robotics. The focus here was on a didactic and practical professional analysis as well as the in-house development of a Python programme with artificial neural networks.

Over the course of the workshop, the participants worked together in three world cafés to identify relevant topics that need to be considered when implementing AI in vocational education and training and in companies, based on the three phases (1) goal setting and impact assessment, (2) planning and design and (3) preparation and implementation.

The workshop results will soon be available to all network partners on the AI-Pioneers homepage.

We would like to thank all participants for a workshop rich in discussion and insight!
