‘Task Manager’ handbook now available online

The Kompetenzwerkstatt's new handbook shows how work process-orientated and skills-promoting tasks can be developed, documented and made available to trainees in the form of a digital learning environment using the ‘Task Manager’ online tool.

The Task Manager was developed as a web-based online tool at the Institute of Technology and Education over a period of more than ten years in close cooperation with training companies, inter-company vocational training centres and vocational schools.

On the one hand, it offers a development environment that supports training personnel in the efficient creation and management of tasks for their trainees. On the other hand, it is possible to make the tasks developed in this way available to trainees online in the form of a multimedia-supported, digital learning environment. The tool only requires any end device with a browser and Internet access, is largely intuitive and can be used in the context of in-company training after a short familiarisation period.

There are two different ways to access the Task Manager: Firstly, the tool can be accessed and used free of charge via the portal for training and examination staff (Leando) of the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) after registration. On the other hand, companies, educational institutions and vocational schools can install their own instance of the Task Manager on their own server free of charge in co-operation with the Kompetenzwerkstatt team.
