ISOV in Bucharest and Wallachia – more than just a project meeting

The third meeting of the partners of the ‘Innovative Skills for an Old Vocation (ISOV)’ project took place in Romania from 15 to 17 September 2025.

The meeting kicked off with a trip to Wallachia to visit Romania's last tannery, pictured here with a leather washing machine.

The subsequent project meeting in Bucharest was, as always with this team, extremely constructive and effective; both the distribution of upcoming activities and the slightly revised time and work plan were unanimously approved.

The project partners are now highly motivated to tackle the task of developing manuals for integrating the possible effects of globalisation, sustainability and digitalisation on work processes in the industrial footwear manufacturing sector into initial and continuous vocational education and training.
