Project with Bau-ABC-Rostrup in the agricultural and construction machinery sector completed

The project "tekom_Land-BauMT - technical communication in learning and work processes of agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technicians in the context of Industry 4.0" was carried out between Bau-ABC Rostrup and the Institute Technology and Education ITB (University of Bremen) in the period between November 2020 and June 2023 and financed by funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

One of the aims of the project was to investigate the changing requirements and activities in the occupation of heavy machinery technicians as a result of advancing digitalization and networking in industry and the skilled trades and to provide impetus for the vocational education modernization of interplant training in this occupation.

The "tekom_LandBauMT" project addressed these challenges by first carrying out fundamental vocational education analyses with the help of a sector analysis for the field of agricultural and construction machinery technology and by developing a sphere of activities structure for the occupation of agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technician. On this basis and against the background of the Kompetenzwerkstatt concept, a digitally-supported, work process and competence-oriented learn and work assignment for the occupation of agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technician was then developed by the ITB and made available to the interplant trainer at Bau-ABC for testing and further development.

The sector analysis for the field of agricultural and construction machinery technology, the occupational field of action structure for the occupation of agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technician and the digitally supported learning and work task are available to an interested specialist public for further use and can be downloaded for free of charge via the link in the blue box. The project description can also be found there.
