The project, which is being applied for as part of the Erasmus+ programme with a project volume of €800,000, aims to improve the technical infrastructure for the training of VET (vocational education and training) teachers. In addition, training on digital teaching will be provided for VET teacher trainers.

Furthermore, the project aims at developing a 2-year Master's degree programme that meets international standards, an in-service 1‑year training programme for VET teachers and trainers who do not have the relevant training, and the development of a regional qualification framework for this professional group.

The meeting was attended by (on the photo from left to right): Peter Kaune (ITB Administrative Manager), Ursel Hausschildt (International Office, University of Bremen), Mirja Uschkureit (Programme Coordinator HERE AHEAD, University of Bremen), Fekadu Beyene Ayana (Ethiopian Ambassador), Thomas Gerkmann (Honorary Consul of Ethiopia) and Marejke Baethge-Assenkamp (Head of International Office, University of Bremen).
