Aerovet – Skilled Careers in Airbus: Identification of Sector‐Related Qualifications

The AEROVET project tested the elements of the technical ECVET specifications in the context of transnational mobility using the example of the technical aviation professions in the four countries France, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Due to extremely different forms of legal regulations and respective concrete training organisation, the common vocational work tasks (BAG) obtained from the qualified skilled work serve as a common basis for the learning results to be acquired at other learning locations.
One result of the project is a manageable, comprehensive description of the learning potential of the sector in form of learning units derived from the professional work tasks (FOPH).
The results of the test phase at AIRBUS were assessed as so positive that further use of the mobility passes is planned beyond the duration of the project.
The strengths and weaknesses of individual elements of the ECVET Recommendation have been identified for the technical aviation professions and could make a valuable contribution to the forthcoming revision of this Recommendation in 2014.
