BIBB Learning Paths – Designing in-company training

The project aims to provide trainers with sustainable support in their vocational action competence as training experts. The result is "learning paths" oriented to the needs of the target group, which enable trainers - also individually tailored - to orient their training planning and processes to the current requirements of their respective sector. The conceptual basis of the CVET offer is the long-established vocational science concept of the Kompetenzwerkstatt (http://www.kompetenzwerkstatt.net/).

The background of the project is the new or changing demands that have been emerging for some years now on in-company training staff to design up-to-date and innovative training. Examples of this are the preparation of trainees for project work in teams, the orientation of training content and objectives to work processes and the competences required to master them, or the integration of digital media into training. The aim is to support in-company trainers in the performance of their tasks. Therefor - especially in the case of such shifts - further training offers are used which are suitable for the target group and can be adapted to the respective areas and which are prepared in a cross-media manner.

The project BIBB-Lernpfade

  • focuses on the training needs of in-company training personnel, which are ascertained with the help of a prospective evaluation and illustrated with the help of exemplary competence profiles,
  • provides selectable, web-based and modularly coordinated, asynchronous and synchronous learning sequences - so-called learning paths,
  • prepares media and materials used within the learning paths cross-medially and develops them further in an iterative process and
  • investigates the potential of digital media for training staff to shape in-company training practice.

At the end of the project, a set of learning paths will be created based on the competence profiles presented, which will be made available on a BIBB platform for training personnel. This process will be accompanied by further examination of certification options.
