Karrieren@Stahl: Career models and professional development paths for securing and developing skilled labour in the steel industry
The research project "Karrieren@Stahl - Career models and professional development paths for securing and developing skilled labour in the steel industry " aims to address the changing qualification and skills requirements in the steel and foundry industry. Funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, with financial support from the states of Bremen and Lower Saxony, it facilitates industry dialogues to exchange information on qualification solutions in the face of structural change and to increase employer attractiveness through clear career paths within the industry.
The project is developing new career development paths, including the "Career Specialist" level and the newly introduced "Master Professional" level. The project's anchor companies are ArcelorMittal Bremen, Georgsmarienhütte GmbH and Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, in order to develop training profiles tailored to the specific needs of the industry. The medium-sized foundries Pleissner Guss GmbH and Harz Guss Zorge GmbH are also planning to actively participate in the project to develop professional and career models.
