Problem: Actual developments in the small and medium-sized characterised port industry in Germany lead to a higher competitive pressure, which leads to increasing automatization and digitalisation strategies. These developments result in changes in the port industry inside of its work organisation and work processes.

Objective: The BMBF funding guideline “Digital Media in the Vocational Education” addresses the interactions between technological developments, structural changes in the working world and associated challenges for education and training. Project goal of Maridal is to encourage working and learning in the maritime economy by media-based learning formats as well as to consolidate working and learning through the establishment of a regional, digital transfer network under consideration of the simultaneously development of competences and organisations.

Results: The development and testing of digital teaching / learning solutions is planned, which will be provided at a to be build up transfer network. Additionally, handouts for the media-didactical concept and for the competence requirements will be prepared.
