SmaLo – Smartes Lernen in der Logistik

Problem: Especially in the logistics area we are observing a similarity of a continuing digitalisation with corresponding substitution risk plus a minor participation in further education. So indisputable the necessity of learning is, it is as difficult to develop further education types to let them address equally company and occupational biographic perspectives.

Objective: Aim and task of the project SMALO is to develop a web platform-based further education for employees working in logistics. This further education is going to identify with help of agile methods different perspectives and needs. From these web platform-based further education formats will be developed, which enable an individual learning and flexible learning paths.

Research question: How to develop a web platform-based further training, which equally integrates individual as well as in-company and institutional needs.

Research approach: Relevant stakeholders from further education and logistic sector as well as representatives of social partners will be surveyed and interviewed. Out of these surveys and interviews the demands for a learning ecosystem will be elaborated.

Results: The intended platform in this project is to be understood as a “Learning ecosystem” (Seufert 2018), which integrates as well due to its structure different learning formats (informal, formal, non-formal) as well as different interests of stakeholders (companies, further education institutions, employees). Goal of the project is to develop exemplary at selected vocational fields of the logistic a need- and application-related, digital and save further education space, which supports the networking activities on an individual and institutional level.
